For an easy to use and reliable file exchange with our clients, we offer three possibilities:
FTP uploads and downloads: ftp://ftp.andromeda.ch
Our internal FTP server offers fast and reliable transfers, particularly for large amounts of data, using any FTP client.
Regular customers receive their own user account for data exchange and temporary archiving, which enables them to view and transfer files at any time.
Uploads and downloads via Filesender: https://andromeda.ch/filesender/
Since 2020, our server also offers Filesender, which requires no additional software. We send you a voucher link, which lets you transfer files (but not folders) up to 250 GB in size, using drag-and-drop with your web browser. You can also enable various options such as an email notification when a file has been downloaded.
Streaming and transfers via frame.io: https://frame.io/
Frame.io is an easy to use cloud service for file exchange, specifically targeting post-production workflows. There is also a mobile app.
It can be used for streaming videos, comparing versions, adding comments, and so on.
It also offers a time-limited and/or protected mode to allow viewing by journalists, festivals etc.
